We have now
completed four days of negotiations with the company. The committee wants the
membership to know, we are just about to finish the non-economic proposals. The
company gave us a partial economic package that was 100% TAKEAWAYS one of which
was giving up your time and a half after 8 hours. The company wants you to have
to work 40hrs in a week before you receive any OVERTIME.!!!! Your committee has
responded to the company that we did not sit down at the table to do regressive
bargaining. We have countered several of the company’s proposals, and sent them
a clear message that we are here to a get a progressive forward moving contract
for our MEMBERS!!!
This is the time
that we must show 100% SOLIDARITY. This contract belongs to you the members,
and we need your help securing the best contract possible.
